NOTE:

  • The anticipated hiring range for the HR Technician is $23.73 to $29.66 an hour dependent upon qualifications and experience.
  • This position may be eligible for two (2) remote days per week after a 6-month training period.              

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:

The HR Technician is responsible for coordinating all pre-employment activities and supporting the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for Arapahoe County.

DUTIES:

  • Oversee all pre-employment processes and activities, which include but are not limited to background checks, pre-employment screenings, communicating with vendors, hiring managers and candidates. Tracks and updates status of candidates during the pre-employment process.
  • Works with hiring managers to post requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), SuccessFactors. Responsible for identifying and proposing efficiencies and process improvements within the system.
  • Posts, advertises, and updates job postings externally on 3rd-party job boards, social media sites and appropriate sources. 
  • Answers internal and external inquiries from hiring managers and candidates; refers other inquires to HR staff members as appropriate.
  • Occasionally may assist with hiring events, job fairs and community outreach.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Medium to high level of proficiency with Microsoft Teams.
  • Technical apptitude and interest in learning new systems.
  • Preferred experience with Applicant Tracking Systems. Knowledge of SuccessFactors desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective management of priorities and projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to manage information in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Maintains effective communication and good working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. Projects excellent customer relations in all interactions.

Education and Experience:

  • High School
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS).  SucessFactors experience preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.

 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
