While hours and duration of assignment may vary, the anticipated start date is Monday, June 1st and anticipated end date is Tuesday, June 30th. Approximately 4-6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, except for Election Day, Tuesday, June 30th, when 8 hours is preferred.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
This is a part-time, temporary position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Voter Services Team in the Elections Division of the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. This position is mainly responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with voter registration processing and upkeep of database integrity. Hours and duration of assignment may vary.
DUTIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES:
- Assist customers in person and by telephone by providing specific, complete, and accurate information.
- Work with voters in a professional and tactful manner to resolve complaints or concerns.
DATA ENTRY DUTIES:
- Provide clerical and administrative support for the Team as needed.
- Receive and process outgoing mail.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- Receives immediate supervision from the Voter Systems Manager. May receive supervision from additional members of the county Elections Division.

Education and Experience:
- High School or GED required
- At least one year of customer service and/or data entry experience, preferably in a government work environment. Elections experience ideal.
- Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable background check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The following are some of the physical demands commonly associated with this position.
- Spends 70% of the time sitting and 30% of the time either standing or walking.
- Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 pounds.
- Uses cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in excess of 25 pounds.
- Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls and crouches.
- Verbal and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication through automated devices such as telephones.
- Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of automated office machinery or equipment.
